The treatment session is 60 minutes. Direct therapist/patient time will be defined by patient’s funding source and will be used to work on established gross motor/fine motor/communication individual goals. At the end of the session, patient’s parent/caregiver will be provided with feedback about their child’s progress and will be offered exercises (updated weekly) to practice newly acquired skills x 5 minutes. The remaining time will be used for documentation.
Please note that LAIPT does not allow siblings in the treatment area – NO EXCEPTION- for safety of our patients.
Note to the parents: Speech and language delays are the most common developmental disorder. Speech services include targeting receptive language (what your child can understand), expressive language (how your child communicates their wants and needs to others), or speech disorders (helping your child to be easier to understand). If you have concerns about your child’s speech or language, schedule a consultation with one of our ASHA-certified speech therapists.
