Dr. Natalia Pokras, PT, DPT is the founder and owner of Los Angeles Intensive Pediatric Therapy (LAIPT). She received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the California State University of Northridge and completed her post-professional clinical doctorate with honors at Regis University. Since her undergraduate years, Dr. Pokras interests included the study of movement disorders. She participated in numerous research projects as a graduate student. Upon graduation, Dr. Pokras was invited to participate in a three-year research project at UCLA involving a lokomat and patients with multiple sclerosis.
Since 2009, Dr. Pokras has been contributing to the Russian publication, “Life with Cerebral Palsy: Problems and Solutions.” Her articles in this magazine inform readers about current methods, treatment options, and the latest research findings covering the topic of cerebral palsy.
Dr. Pokras holds a clinical instructor’s certification from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and is an active member of the organization. Dr. Pokras is passionate about sharing her knowledge of pediatric physical therapy with physical therapy interns. Many of her former students are now successfully working in pediatric settings. She is constantly participating in conferences, symposiums, and presentations to enhance her knowledge and exchange information with her American and European colleagues. Dr. Pokras holds numerous certifications in various treatment methods.
